Wayble Partners with Centennial College to Enhance Career Pathways for International Students

At Wayble, we are excited to announce our partnership with Centennial College on a groundbreaking project supported by the Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) and the Government of Canada. This collaboration aims to empower international students by providing them with innovative support and resources to build successful careers in Canada. Centennial College’s project with BHER focuses on creating 550 Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences that support equity-deserving students, especially international students who often face challenges in accessing flexible and innovative opportunities for curricular and co-curricular WIL experiences.

Our partnership will help Centennial College achieve its goals by integrating Wayble’s proprietary International Student Success Software into its BHER project initiatives. Our platform offers holistic, end-to-end support by connecting international students with personalized resources in mentorship, employment, and training. By automating personalized support based on each student’s unique cultural background and lifecycle, we save Centennial valuable time and provide real-time tracking of student engagement and outcomes. This data-driven approach allows Centennial College to match international students with employers and WIL opportunities based on their program of study and increase their chances of success.

The success of our Career Pathway Program highlights the impact of such initiatives. As a first-of-its-kind program designed specifically for international students, it connects participants with Canadian companies for industry project experience, essential for transitioning into the Canadian workforce. In partnership with BHER and with support from the Government of Canada, we have already provided over 500 WIL opportunities to international students across the country and are on our way to achieving 670 WIL opportunities by January 2025. Participants engage in six-week cohorts that include job readiness training, mentorship from industry professionals, and real-world industry projects. Many students have secured internships and job offers upon completion, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in bridging education and employment.

By collaborating with Centennial College on their BHER initiative, we are collectively addressing the challenges faced by international students and supporting BHER’s mandate to create meaningful connections between education and employment. Together, we are spearheading innovation and change in the international education sector, providing students with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed in Canada’s evolving job market. This partnership not only enhances the student experience but also contributes to Canada’s economy by addressing skill shortages and promoting diversity and inclusion.
